PRAYER FOR THE LAW
Father of us all, we thank You for Your perfect laws, written on every heart. If You can change the course of a king’s heart like a stream, we know You can change the heart of any American. Lord, many are deceived in this country. We ask You to lift the veil of deception, and speak to our hearts of Your truth, Your laws, Your love, and Your Holy presence. Allow Americans to sense Your presence and Your voice, and lead us in Your ways everlasting. We ask for lawmakers who will represent Your people well as they interpret, enforce and determine the laws of this country. We ask for leaders who will first of all follow Your laws as they lead.
“But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it“
(James 1:25).
