Walking In The Light – December 2016 Edition

Spiritual Courage in Difficult Times

Having a purpose in life is essential to both body and spirit. In challenging times we seek a comfortable place of refuge to find peace in our hour of need. The very fiber of our hearts and souls are compromised when we look to the world for answers to those difficult moments in life. It requires spiritual courage that can only be found through the love and peace of God. There are two kinds of courage: En-courage or Dis-courage. Which will you choose?

PRAYER:
Lord, give me the strength to stand firm in my faith that I can do all things through Christ Jesus. Equip me with moral courage to face the enemy in the midst of my trials knowing that I am clothed in your armor. My trust is in You Father. For you are my hope and salvation during times of joy and times of sorrow. Your love endures forever and I am humbled by your presence. Thank You for the ultimate victory that can only be found at the Cross. You are my Lord and King forevermore. Amen.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:11 (NIV)
The deepest problems of our hearts are often answered by the simplest truths. “Put your hope in God,” not in man and the world. David, called a man after God’s own heart, talks about the same troubles and how he turned it into praise. You can experience that same peace by placing your faith and hope in Him this very day.

The Salt & Light Council continues to share hope and inspiration through our commitment to preserving our culture through Biblical citizenship. We continue to pray for God’s people and our nation to seek His will in our lives. If this message has been a source of encouragement for you today, we hope you will share with others.
